About the Position:
Texas Neurology is seeking an experienced MRI Technician for full time work Monday – Friday 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM to work in the Diagnostic Imaging Center. Equipment: GE 1.5T HDX and GE 3T 750W performing Neuro protocols. Working in conjunction with the Imaging Manager and imaging team to improve the workflow experience for all patients. Following the ACR Safety Guidelines to ensure a safe & positive outcome. Technologist must be able to perform MRI procedures adhering to departmental protocols,which include but are not limited to Head,MRA,MSK and Spine imaging. IV skills a must. Assures compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies related to patient and employee safety.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Performs MRI procedures as ordered achieving a high level of quality. Offers expertise to physicians regarding appropriateness of additional/modified studies,etc.
Escorts patients to treatment room.
Completes all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of MRI services.
Provides protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
Ensures the safety and physical comfort of the patient while in technologist’s care.
Conducts weekly quality control measures to monitor machine performance.
Reports all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the proper company or facility.
Maintains confidentiality of all information related to patients and medical staff.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Comprehends and understands fully MRI Safety Standards.
IV skills is a requirement.
Angio experience is a requirement.
Must follow Texas Neurology protocols,workflow & safety standards.
Fully understanding patient safety screening.
