About the Position:
The MRI Insights program at Octave Bioscience uses the best of imaging technology to deliver an objective,quantitative,trustworthy,and actionable MRI report of the brain and spine. The MRI Application Specialist will play an integral role in bringing these key innovative technology solutions to life and will have a large impact on the growth and development of imaging products that will directly impact patients and physicians.
Description of the role:
-Partner with Octave Neuroradiologists and MRI team members to define and build best-in-class MRI protocols for patients living with MS
-Develop lasting clinical partnerships by supporting MR technologists,radiologists,and researchers with the installation and validation of recommended protocols
-Leverage your technical knowledge to ensure ongoing success of the Octave MRI program within the clinic and imaging center
-Troubleshoot image quality problems and work with the clinic team to deploy solutions
-Evaluate accuracy and reliability of post-processed imaging results
-Collaborate with Octave Engineers to optimize and improve image workflows
-Act as a Voice of the Customer to improve and grow service offerings in collaboration with Octave Product and Commercial teams
-MRI Certification,or demonstrated ability to build and deploy MR protocols across scanner manufacturers,models,and software
-2+ years experience with radiology workflow and software integration within clinics
-Demonstrable knowledge of medical imaging technologies and standards such as image transfer protocols,PACS,DICOM,HL7
-Highly proficient with MRI scanning procedures,including use of tools and software applications within major MRI scanner systems such as GE,Philips,and Siemens
-Basic knowledge of MRI physics to understand the impact of scan parameters on images
-Advanced working knowledge of Windows and Mac OS,including troubleshooting installation and networking issues,firewalls,anti-virus,and remote access tools
-Ability to visually assess image quality and investigate root cause of errors
-Basic knowledge of human Brain and Spinal Cord anatomy
-Excellent customer service,problem-solving,and communication skills
